On Saturday, three senior US security officials held a video call with a group of Ukrainian counterparts to discuss military aid to Kyiv, according to Andriy Yermak, the chief of staff of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. The call included discussions on the provision of vehicles, weapons, and ammunition to Ukraine.
Yermak noted that President Zelenskiy also joined the meeting to share his thoughts on the liberation of Ukrainian territories that are currently occupied by Russia.
The call comes as tensions between Ukraine and Russia continue to simmer, with Moscow increasing its military presence along the border with Ukraine.
The provision of military aid to Ukraine has been a key issue in US-Ukraine relations, with the US providing billions of dollars in assistance to Kyiv over the years.
The latest call suggests that the US remains committed to supporting Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia.
