The head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba has urged Western countries to expedite the supply of ammunition as further delays could lead to more casualties.
Kuleba highlighted the urgency for its partners to act swiftly on the issue of ammunition supply. “We want partners to act faster. And if one delivery is postponed for one day, it means that someone is going to die on the front line. It means that someone who could have been still alive is going to die,” he said.
He stressed the growing need to supply Bakhmut with ammunition at the earliest possible. Ukrainian troops have been defending the territory from Russian forces for over seven months. He said that Bakhmut needs to be protected by all means as if the city falls others will be next in line.
