Launch of Smart 1 Bookings in Malaysia

Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the Smart 1 fully electric SUV, making it the first nation in the ASEAN to do so. The Smart 1 is now available for pre-order through the Hello smart app, with a refundable booking fee of RM1,000. Adding to the excitement, the first 501 customers who pre-order will receive charging credits worth RM1,001 upon the delivery of their new electric vehicle (EV).

Variants and Estimated Pricing

The Smart 1 will be available in three distinct variants- Pro, Premium, and Brabus. The estimated cost for these models will range from RM200,000 to RM250,000. Each version has been designed with unique features and specifications to cater to a broad range of customer preferences and needs.

Pro Variant: Affordable Luxury

The Pro model is the most affordable variant, yet it is packed with features such as LED headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic roof, powered front seats with memory function, dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charging pad, and a touchscreen infotainment system with 4G and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity. This model comes with a rear-mounted electric motor, and the battery capacity and chemistry differ from its premium counterparts.

The Premium model, on the other hand, offers additional features like matrix LEDs with adaptive high beam, sequential turn signals, side mirror puddle lamps, door handles and logos illumination, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, extended ambient lighting, a head-up display, and a 13 speaker sound system. It uses the same rear-mounted electric motor as the Pro variant, but with a different battery capacity and chemistry, offering more power and range.

The 1 Brabus, designed for performance enthusiasts, stands apart with its vented bonnet, aggressive front bumper, model-specific badging, sporty rear spoiler, and red brake calipers.
