Poland Deploys HIMARS Rocket Artillery Systems at Border with Russia’s Kaliningrad

Poland has decided to deploy the HIMARS jet systems which is a a light multiple rocket launcher at the border with Russia’s Kaliningrad region, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of the Republic Mariusz Blaszczak confirmed.

The first American Himars rocket artillery systems near the border with the Kaliningrad region of Russia aims to protect the region from any possible threats.

According to Blaszczak, the 16th Mechanized Division placed near the border with the Kaliningrad region will receive American Himars this year. “This is a division ordered in 2019. As you know, the US Congress has approved our order for the next 500 Himars launchers (charging modules – ed.),” he said.
