In the last three months of this year, the mines of the Polish Mining Group will produce more than 1 million tons of coal more than in the previous quarter. The 20-percent quarter-on-quarter increase in production is half the result of miners working on weekends and holidays, according to company data.

The mines of the largest mining company are now producing more than 100 thousand tons of coal per day, compared to an average of less than 80 thousand tons in the previous quarter.

We have exceeded the production level of 100 thousand tons of coal per day. This is a successful and lasting trend in the mines, especially important in view of the current huge market absorption and high demand for fuel coal,” commented Polish Mining Group President Tomasz Rogala.
