More than 13 Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) members were detained by the Punjab police on Saturday during an anti-encroachment operation at Zaman Park in Lahore. However heavy clash broke out between Police and PTI workers at Zaman Park.
According to sources, one police constable was also hurt as a result of the PTI workers‘ assault.
The anti-encroachment squad and police are participating in the operation at Zaman Park with heavy infantry.
The police have removed the tents from the road outside PTI chief Imran Khan’s Lahore residence and closed the Sundar Das Road entrance that leads to Zaman Park for traffic.
The route going to Zaman Park has a large deployment of security personnel.
Imran, the PTI chairman, also tweeted that his wife, Bushra Begum, was being attacked alone in Zaman Park by the Punjab Police.
