In a press conference held with other party leaders, PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) leader Fawad Chaudhry expressed his concerns over the violation of citizens’ rights and the sanctity of private property in Zaman Park. Chaudhry stated that while they intended to hold a press conference in the park, all the roads leading to it were blocked, denying citizens their right to free movement as guaranteed by Article 15 of the Constitution.
The PTI leader also spoke about rising inflation, the country’s poor economic policies, and foreign affairs. However, he stressed that his primary concern was the alleged harassment of Imran Khan’s wife, sister, and employees. Fawad Chaudhry accused the authorities of conducting an illegal search operation of Khan’s house, resulting in the violation of their privacy and safety.
Fawad Chaudhry also criticized the authorities for not allowing Imran Khan to appear in court, despite being ordered to do so. The PTI leader revealed that he and Khan were heading to Islamabad but had to return, as they were prevented from doing so. He added that they would file a contempt of court case against the IG police and other officers.
