His Excellency Pankaj Khimji, Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation, who serves as the main coordinator of Oman’s involvement in G20 meetings, emphasized the profound significance of this participation. He noted that it provides Oman with an invaluable opportunity to gain insights into the intricacies of global decision-making, spanning political, economic, and financial spheres. Through direct engagement with leaders from developed nations, Oman aims to glean knowledge on ways to attain sustainable development goals.

Oman’s participation in the G20 Summit is deeply intertwined with its aspirations outlined in “Oman Vision 2040.” The country seeks to activate communication channels on topics and objectives aligned with this vision. By taking part in this global event, Oman aims to understand future trends, international best practices, and public policies across various sectors. It also seeks to evaluate the compatibility of these trends with Oman’s policies and strategies, emphasizing the adoption of new sustainable approaches.

During the summit, Oman participated in over 200 meetings, including nine ministerial meetings where key government decision-makers were briefed on international trends in these sectors.
