During the gubernatorial election day in Lagos state, suspected thugs have been reportedly causing chaos in different parts of the state.
Early on Saturday, multiple incidents of chaos were recorded, including attempts by certain parties to replace INEC officials, as well as spreading threatening alarms.
In one instance, thugs reportedly attacked a polling unit in the state, destroying the voting area’s setup even before INEC officials arrived.
Although it remains uncertain which party the thugs were affiliated with, rumors suggest they might have been working for the ruling party APC in the state.
