The Labour Party in Ogun State has decided to form an alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the governorship and State Assembly elections scheduled for Saturday.
The decision was announced in a statement released on Friday by the Caretaker Committee’s Publicity Secretary, Tokunbo Peters.
The statement noted that the alliance was formed because the Independent National Electoral Commission did not include the Labour Party candidate in the list of those contesting the governorship election.
The Labour Party announced that the PDP’s governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu, was its preferred choice due to similarities in manifesto, mission and ideology between the two parties.
