Antonio Vázquez, former mayor of Teziutlán, was arrested for falsification of documents in Puebla

Edgar Antonio Vázquez, former mayor of Teziutlán, Puebla, was arrested for falsifying documents related to the rehabilitation of the municipality’s Social Reinsertion Center.

The apprehension of the former mayor occurred after he attended a hearing at the House of Justice in response to a call from the authorities since there are at least eight complaints filed by the City Council of Carlos Peredo, the current municipal head.

In the last hours of the day, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) confirmed the arrest of the former official who represented the National Action Party (PAN), as well as the capture of David “N”, who served as director of works during his administration.

According to the official report, the Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against both former public servants for their alleged participation in the crime of falsification of documents.

According to the investigations, during the 2014-2018 administration, both allegedly signed a certificate of delivery and receipt of public works for the rehabilitation of the municipal Cereso when the work was still unfinished.
