Mercedes-Benz to charge customers ‘acceleration fee’ for electric cars

Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to charge customers an ‘acceleration fee’ for some of its electric cars to accelerate faster, according to a BBC report.
The company will charge customers USD 1200 excluding tax per year to accelerate a vehicle from 0-60 mph a second faster. Earlier this year BMW launched a subscription service for heated seats.
