Exciting Insights into New Drama "My Favorite is Now My Boss"

A Glimpse into the Press Conference

In a recently held press conference, the cast of the new drama “My Favorite is Now My Boss” gave a sneak peek into what the audience should expect from the forthcoming series. The conference was graced by a host of stars including Airi Suzuki, Ryota Katayose from the band GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE, Arata Takano, Miki Inada, and Karma. The conference was broadcast live on multiple platforms including TVer, U-NEXT, and YouTube.

Unraveling the Plot

The drama is a romantic comedy inspired by the comic series authored by Ito Morinaga and Yuki Higashi. The plot revolves around an office worker, Hitomi Nakajo, who is a dedicated fan of the 2.5D actor, Toma Kiryu. The story takes a dramatic twist when Kiryu abruptly retires, leaving Hitomi in shock. The shock, however, is short-lived as Kiryu re-emerges as her boss under a new identity, Shuichi Takajo.

Real-Life Experiences Influence the Characters

Airi Suzuki, who plays Hitomi, revealed that her past experiences as an idol with °C-ute and Buono! had a significant influence on her character in the drama. Suzuki also confessed that she shares a lot in common with her character, Hitomi, as she tends to immerse herself into things she is passionate about. On the other hand, Katayose, who plays the dual roles of Toma and Shuichi, expressed his enthusiasm about the project, citing its catchy title and stellar cast.

Merchandise and Personal Favorites

During the press conference, Suzuki displayed some of the fan merchandise that features in the drama, including a poster, cushion, and fan featuring Toma. Additionally, she disclosed her enduring love for the band back number. Katayose, on the other hand, shared his liking for wine and was teased about his fondness for ramen.

Life Beyond the Screens

When asked about their plans post-retirement, both actors had interesting insights to share. Suzuki, for one, expressed her inability to imagine a life outside her current profession but dreamt of opening a coffee shop with her mother. Katayose, on the other hand, expressed interest in opening either a restaurant or an art gallery.
