The Iranian deputy FM for economic diplomacy Mehdi Safari met high-ranking officials at a meeting of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA). Mehdi Safari and his other colleagues examined the latest state of bilateral economic cooperation and ways of developing and strengthening economic relations.
They also discussed holding joint commissions and exchanging business delegations. The Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) includes 23 countries of South Africa, India, Iran, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Australia, UAE, Oman, Yemen, Bangladesh, Kenya, Mauritius, Tanzania, Madagascar, Mozambique, Seychelles and France that started its activity in 1997 with the initiative of India and Mauritius.
