Due to the emergence of strong winds, some vehicles have been prohibited from traversing the Great Belt Bridge until the afternoon.
Wind-sensitive vehicles will not be permitted to drive over if the wind speed exceeds 15 m/s, according to information. The restriction for wind-sensitive vehicles is solely based on the risk that will occur if there is a strong wind on the bridge.
Wind-sensitive vehicles are advised not to drive on the bridge in the event of strong winds, while other vehicles are advised to drive at an 80 km/h speed in the event of a 15 m/s wind.
Other vehicles are recommended for a maximum speed of 50 km/h when the wind is gusty gale at 20 m/s and crosswind.
If the wind speed exceeds 25 m/s, the bridge will be closed to all traffic with barriers, and signs indicating the expected reopening time will be posted at the last exits before the bridge. At 3 p.m., the ban on wind-sensitive vehicles will be lifted.
