Optician assistant Aviaja Sørensen fears she might not be able to see her family at Christmas after three years.
Aviaja who lived in Aarhus has been an optimist about coming back to her family and visiting friends who have had children since she last set foot in her homeland.
But her wait has been shortlived as the Flybranchens Personnel Union, FPU has called for a strike from December 2, which the airline admits could affect Christmas traffic.
The strike action was declared after a failed negotiation between Air Greenland and the union this month.
Deliberation on finding a quick solution will continue on Tuesday in the Conciliation Institute to avoid a strike that could affect the Christmas tariff to and from Greenland.
The major area of discussion between the union and Air Greenland is based on the compensation of workers with sufficient wages as the Airline call for more flexibility from the employees.
Aviaja and many others facing similar issue is hopeful that the two parties can reach a concluding end before she goes home.
