Due to the energy crisis, churches are cancelling services

As the energy crisis worsens, many churches in Denmark have begun to cancel services across the country. The majority of churches have begun to close because they are unable to continue due to the crisis.

Europe is expected to have the worst winter on record as a result of its involvement in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The inability to find solutions would expose most European countries to cold weather.

The Viborg Diocese, which covers a large portion of Central and Western Jutland, has also cancelled its services in the area. The bishop of the Diocese of Lolland-Falster has granted permission to all 108 churches in the diocese to move or cancel services in order to save energy.

Because of the economy, some parishes have suspended their regular services and more are expected to join.
