Colombian President Gustavo Petro is expected to visit Venezuela on March 20 for the fifth meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolás Maduro in Caracas.
The agenda of the meeting has not been disclosed yet, however, discussions on strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations will be held. Other key issues concerning both sides will also be addressed.
During the last meeting, Colombia and Venezuela signed the Partial Scope Agreement on March 16 to promote trade between the two countries. Since 2022, Petro’s government has been working on enhancing diplomatic ties with Caracas.
