The operation of the Guangshan High-Speed Railway significantly reduces the shortest running time of high-speed trains from Guangzhou East Station to Shanwei Station from 140 minutes to about 70 minutes. The Ningbo-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway will greatly shorten the spatiotemporal distance of passenger and cargo flows in the coastal economic belt of these provinces.
