Kris Wu, a Canadian pop singer, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison by a Chinese court in Beijing after finding him guilty of crimes including rape, according to reports on Friday.
According to the local court in Beijing’s Chaoyang District, Wu Yifan raped three women between November and December 2020.
As per the court’s decision, he was convicted of rape as well as assembling a crowd to engage in sexual promiscuity. Officials from the Canadian embassy in China attended the sentencing, according to reports.
