World Cup 2022: Canada eliminated against Croatia

Canada was eliminated from the World Cup 2022 after a 4-1 defeat to Croatia at Khalifa International Stadium on Sunday.

Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies made Canada history by scoring a goal just 67 seconds into the match — the first ever by the Canadian men at the World Cup.

However, Croatia’s class eventually showed through with its midfield trio of Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic and Marcelo Brozovic probing and eventually finding cracks in the Canadian defence.
