Two people lost their lives when a transport truck collided with an SUV on the QEW in Mississauga.

On Saturday morning, a transport truck collided with an SUV on the QEW in Mississauga, killing two people. According to Ontario Provincial Police, the crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on Hurontario Street.

According to Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, the transport truck collided with the SUV as it was merging from Hurontario Street onto the QEW. The SUV’s female driver and male passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was unharmed. The eastbound QEW at Hurontario is closed for investigation & cleanup. The westbound lanes are still open.
