This is expected to be a landmark UN Biodiversity Conference, where a post-2020 global biodiversity framework will be adopted to guide global actions to protect and restore nature. The Convention on Biological Diversity’s objectives is the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, as well as the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits resulting from the use of genetic resources.
The adoption of the post-2020 global biodiversity framework will be the main topic on the agenda of the Convention on Biological Diversity COP 15, Cartagena Protocol COP-MOP 10, and Nagoya Protocol COP-MOP.
