According to new Canadian guidance, toddlers don’t require strict screen time restrictions.

The Canadian Paediatric Society advises parents to prioritise educational, interactive, and age-appropriate content rather than imposing strict time limits on their children’s screen time. For children under the age of two, new guidance released Thursday morning still urges against the use of screens for kids younger than age two, with the exception of video chats with family members like grandparents.

However, the doctors’ group has revised its earlier advice to limit children aged two to five to one hour of screen time per day as a result of our changing relationship with technology.
