The Federal Court of Buenos Aires rejected to remove Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti

The Federal Court of Buenos Aires rejected to remove Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti from the investigation of the assassination attempt against Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
The Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires also ordered Judge Capuchetti to move forward with evidence in the so-called “Milman trail”, linked to PRO legislator Gerardo Milman.
The Court of Appeals ordered Capuchetti to order new evidence to “corroborate or rule out” the statements of a witness who claimed to have heard Milman says “when they kill her, I am on my way to the coast”, two days before the assassination attempt on September 1.
“In this sense, it is essential to summon Congressman Marcos Cleri -who submitted to the file a notarized certification of a screenshot” in which the witness referred to having heard that phrase in the Casablanca bar- to testify.
It is also “necessary to expand the witness statement received from Jorge Alberto Abello, in order to find out if, in addition to the message he sent to Cleri, he has commented what he heard to third parties, either in person” or “by means of a message”.
The judges Leopoldo Bruglia, Pablo Bertuzzi and Mariano Llorens partially granted a motion filed by the Vice-President’s counsel, represented by attorneys José Manuel Ubeira and Marcos Aldázabal.
