President Alberto Fernandez met with Carlos Castagneto, the head of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues

President Alberto Fernández met with Carlos Castagneto, the head of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues, who presented his data on the sustained growth of the agency’s collection.

The meeting was held in the presidential office of Casa Rosada, where the head of AFIP said that virtuous behaviour of the tax collection is expected in the last quarter of the year, which will accompany the positive performance that has been sustained.

In October, tax resources amounted to slightly more than 1 trillion 964 billion pesos, with a positive year-on-year variation of 92.8%. The good performance of that month’s collection was driven by progressive taxes such as Profits (128.5%) and PAIS tax (159.7%).

At the meeting, President Fernandez also discussed with Castagneto the progress of the negotiations for the imminent signing of the tax information exchange agreement with the United States.
