An impressive forest fire broke out in Estancia Santa Elena, in Luján, Buenos Aires.

A large fire broke out at Estancia Santa Elena, located in the area of Pueblo Nuevo, in Luján, Buenos Aires.

The smoke plumes can be seen from several kilometers away, even from the center of the city of Luján. The fire broke out in an area of plantations and forests called La Clarita, within Estancia Santa Elena itself.

The Volunteer Firefighters confirmed that it was a major fire process, although no injuries were reported. “This is a disaster, it will be difficult to put out the fire”, they said.

Several crews are working at the site, although they do not rule out the possibility of summoning other rescuers from nearby cities due to the size of the fire.

Due to the wind, the flames began to spread rapidly in the direction of routes 5 and 7. In addition, almost simultaneously, another forest fire is spreading behind the Loreto neighborhood in Jauregui.
