Patriot launchers from Germany are already in Poland

The announced batteries of the Patriot air and missile defence system have arrived in Poland. They are to reinforce NATO's eastern flank near the border with Ukraine.

"The main Bundeswehr forces arrived in Poland today," the German army announced in a Twitter announcement.

For about a week, German soldiers have been in the vicinity of Zamosc, Poland, to guarantee the smooth reception of the batteries.

Patriot missiles are capable of countering incoming missiles and aircraft within a radius of approximately 70 kilometres.
