Benin and Edo State in Nigeria Experiences Protests Due to Fuel Scarcity and Economic Difficulties. BNNNigeria previously reported that petrol prices in Nigeria have hit a record high, with some prices exceeding N400 per liter.
Recent reports confirm that stations under the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria sold at N190 per liter, and those under the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria were priced between N320 to N340 per liter.
As a result, the affected citizens took to the streets to protest. This follows the extension of the deadline for the Naira redesign policy initiated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
