At least 10 children killed after boat capsizes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tanda Dam lake on Sunday, according to reports.
The children were mostly aged between 8 to 10 years. They belonged to a religious seminary and had come to the Kohat Dam for recreation.
The rescue teams rescued 17 kids and shifted them to a hospital, while the search for the other missing students was underway.
Rescue spokesperson Bilal Faizi said, “Four children are in critical condition. They have been moved to the District Headquarters Hospital Kohat.” “They were all madrassah students out on a day trip to the dam.”
Faizi added that seven ambulances, four boats, two recovery vehicles and more than 40 personnel of Rescue 1122 were participating in the search operation, which is underway.
