A commercial complex in Secunderabad, Telangana caught fire, resulting in the death of six individuals, including women.
The victims succumbed to the thick smoke produced by the fire. The complex had multiple floors, and the incident occurred due to a short circuit on the fifth floor at 7:30 pm. Thirteen individuals were trapped, and only seven could be saved.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the PMNRF will provide Rs 2 lakhs to the next of kin of each person who died in the Chandausi and Secunderabad tragedies. Those who were injured will receive Rs. 50,000.
DCP Chandana Deepthi of the North Zone stated that four girls and two boys were among the deceased. Despite the rescue efforts by fire trucks, DRF officials, and the police, the victims could not be saved in time.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy expressed his condolences and grief over the tragic incident, stating that he was deeply saddened by the loss of lives and offered his thoughts and prayers to the families of the deceased and the injured.
