Redmi Buds 5: Xiaomi’s Latest TWS Earbuds with Enhanced Noise Cancellation and Extended Battery Life

Introducing the Redmi Buds 5
Xiaomi, the renowned tech giant, has recently announced the launch of its newest addition to the Redmi brand – the Redmi Buds 5. The new True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds are equipped with advanced noise cancellation technology capable of suppressing up to 46 decibels of noise. Not only do they boast an impressive noise cancellation capability, but they also offer a long battery life of up to 40 hours.
A Successor to Redmi Buds 4 Pro
Despite their name, the Redmi Buds 5 are more of a successor to the previous Redmi Buds 4 Pro model. This is due to their ‘stem’ design and improved noise cancellation feature, which is more advanced than the 43 decibels offered by the previous Pro model.
Design and Color Options
The new Redmi Buds 5 are available in three different color options: black, white, and purple. In addition to these regular versions, there is also a special camouflage version, created as part of a collaboration with fashion brand APPE.
Advanced Sound Technology
The Redmi Buds 5 are equipped with 12.4mm drivers with a titanium coating to enhance sound quality. They comply with the NetEase Cloud Music standard, offering four dedicated equalizer modes to deliver high-quality sound. The earbuds use the latest Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity for seamless pairing and low latency.
Battery Life and Charging
In terms of battery life, the earbuds offer up to 10 hours of usage on a single charge. With their carrying case, they can offer up to 40 hours of usage with noise cancellation turned off, or up to 30 hours with active noise cancellation. Redmi Buds 5 also support fast charging, providing two hours of usage with just a five-minute charge.
Pricing and Availability
The new Redmi Buds 5 earbuds are currently available for sale in China. The regular model is priced at approximately $31 (199 yuan), while the APPE version is available for approximately $47 (299 yuan).
