Immersed Embarks on Pre-orders for Unique Head-Mounted Display “Visor”
The Dawn of Visor: A Leap into Virtual Reality
A United States-based start-up, Immersed, has kick-started the pre-order process for its innovative Head-Mounted Display (HMD) device dubbed “Visor.” The VR tool “Immersed” exhibited by the company can render multi-displays in a virtual space, thus making it an attractive tool for PC work. The Visor device is poised to be 25% lighter than an average smartphone, with prices starting from $499. The shipment of the device is slated for 2024.
Visor: A New Face of Virtual Reality
The Visor comes in two variants: the “Visor 2.5K” and the “Visor 4K.” The Visor 2.5K is fitted with a 2.5K micro OLED display per eye and is priced at $499.99. On the other hand, the Visor 4K goes for $749.99. Ahead of the launch of the Visor 4K, a 4K Founders Edition will be shipped six months earlier, carrying an early discount price of $999.99.
Both versions of the Visor boast a field of view of 100 degrees. The Immersed app comes pre-installed on these devices, enabling users to operate in a virtual space by displaying up to five screens in sync with Mac, PC, and Linux. Users can move their line of sight within this space, enhancing their virtual experience. A unique feature of the Visor is the color pass-through function. This feature allows users to overlay the real world in front of them with the display, creating an engaging blend of reality and virtual reality.
The Versatility of Visor
The Visor device is not limited to the Immersed services alone. It is touted as being suitable for both work and entertainment, offering a versatile range of applications. Whether it’s for conducting a virtual meeting or watching a movie in a virtual space, the Visor aims to provide an immersive experience that bridges the gap between reality and virtual worlds.
The key points to note about the Visor are its unique features and versatility. With two versions offering different resolutions, the Visor aims to cater to a variety of user needs. Furthermore, its capability to be used for both work and entertainment purposes makes it a tool of interest for a wide range of consumers. With prices starting at $499 and shipment set to commence in 2024, the Visor represents an intriguing prospect in the field of virtual reality.
