BNNFiles Part Two: Following from what we saw in #BNNFiles Part One, Part Two will shed light on Twitter's "manipulation of information" since Elon Musk took the throne.

Even after paying $8, the right to "free speech" appears to be restricted, and the key, as we all know, remains with Musk. He and others frequently refer to the "Matrix," or the government's attempt to control the population.

Smaller websites used to run disturbing psychological operations (PsyOps) on sites like 4Chan, 8Chan, or KiwiFarms, using child pornography, antisemitism, racism, supremacy, and anything else that could be used to divide people. Today, it's Twitter.

Remember we asked a question in our first #BNNFiles - Who truly controls Twitter?

Advertisment

The answer: "Anyone with the necessary tools to exert control over the platform."

The majority of tools that can access and use Twitter's computer code are either owned by the company or created with permission by third-party contractors to whom Twitter "specifically" granted access. Strange, but true, is that it has never been made public who they are and what access they share, which disrupts the world's "town hall."

Simply put, there are others in the pipeline working for various entities such as the loosely bound NAFO or Anonymous, as well as "troll farms" that solely exist to disrupt any free-flow of information.

One of the Culprits

The North Atlantic Fellas Organization (#NAFO), with innumerable accounts, conducts its psychological operation on Twitter in an attempt to gain control of messaging regarding the Ukraine-Russia conflict while selling sweatshirts for $60.

NAFO was founded under the guise of combating Russian disinformation and lies by retired US Marine Matthew Moores and Polish video game reviewer Kamil Dyszewski.

Its militarised tactics also include weaponized memes, misogyny, racism, and suicide trolling, as well as informational warfare developed by Russia's Internet Research Agency and Fred Brennan's #GamerGate.

Hundreds of NAFO accounts have trolled BNN Founder's wife and actress, Rubina Bajwa, with sexually predatory and "rape" fantasies simply because BNN reports unfiltered #BNNRussia news alongside #BNNUkraine.

Identification of Predators

BNN investigated dozens of self-identified NAFO accounts and discovered that many of them were also linked to the Anonymous Collective, a group of cybercriminals.

During Remi Barrette's (@conspirator0) initial attack on BNN, which removed over 200 verified localized news accounts this summer, two members of the Anonymous Collective who were connected to #theNoNewsNetwork at the time, Will Welna and Barrett Brown, had already engaged with BNN founder Gurbaksh Chahal, as well as Yonder Inc. operative Louise Mensch.

The attacks didn't stop at BNN. They suspended our founder's non-profit, @ChahalNonProfit, which had just spent $330,000 on suicide prevention ads on Twitter, as well as his verified author page, @BeLimitlesscom, at the same time.

The irony is that these "individuals" continued to allow users to operate "fake #BNN" newsroom accounts despite our explicit request to Twitter to remove them because we didn't want our brand associated with any random user who copied our logo to spread misinformation.

Barrett Brown previously served as the Anonymous Collective's media director until being arrested and convicted for hacking an intelligence firm called Stratfor. Meanwhile, Brown, a native Texan, was sentenced to 63 months in prison and a $900,000 fine. After serving his sentence and being released early for good behavior, he is now seeking asylum in the United Kingdom.

Louise Mensch is a key figure who connects all three organizations. During Russia's invasion, Louise promoted the Kremlin's deNazification narrative, repeatedly praising the Azov regiment, a group with historical ties to white supremacy, rather than the entire Ukrainian military.

Later, Louise began promoting a stolen valor account @CanadianUkrain1 that lied about being a volunteer in the war and was caught using toy guns in one of the imposter's pictures. She had also interacted with various NAFO accounts, granting them influence and praising them, including one that is currently locked, @bootsqueak.

The only thing that Yonder, Anonymous Collective, and NAFO have in common is that they all coordinate attacks in a similar way, harassing a target online, weaponizing any vulnerability they can find, and using mass disinformation to justify their abuse.

Rémi Barrette, @Conspirator0, was one of the first attackers, who used contacts at BusinessInsider to spread the false narrative that "BNN breaks the Twitter rule by having more than one account"—despite the fact that each of the 200 localized news outlets had been verified by Twitter and operated news in that newsroom.

Wikipedia & Google Search: Hub of misinformation

The self-proclaimed "most trusted free encyclopedia," Wikipedia, is just as bad as Twitter. Trolls and groups take over pages to "narrate" to the world how they want a specific topic to appear on their search results, thanks to its Domain Authority of "100" by Google.

The platform's openness makes it vulnerable to fake news. The first question under "People also ask" on Wikipedia is "Can we trust Wikipedia?" The answer is also much expected – "It is not a credible source that you should use to cite from."

Yet, Wikipedia enjoys a domain authority of 100 from Google, which means any backlinks of mainstream media articles on Wikipedia will "rank" higher for that particular subject on your search results - regardless if true or not.

Individuals or groups have access to a variety of deceptive features, such as content removal, rewriting, and cover-ups, as well as the introduction of false and misleading information and participation in editor discussions via "edit wars," using language that only "wiki" trolls understand to gain support for their narrative on a page.

On Twitter, the same trolls exploit system flaws to "mass-report" accounts, using terms like "ban evasion" as one of their methods.

"Supposed Editors" then lock a Wikipedia page and restrict editing to a subset of their group. We know this because our BNN Founder, Mr. Gurbaksh Chahal, has had his page locked for 10+ years due to "hired agendas."

Two accounts, "Chisme" and "Leparvick," who have been active participants on Mr. Chahal's page since 2014, also collaborated with other Wikipedia "editors" who are paid to amplify negative messaging among their "groups" to assist in locking his page.

Those same users immediately added the "Banning of BNN News accounts by Twitter" to our founder's wiki page in early Summer of last year, just moments after the only article about it appeared.

For a public figure, the section's prominence is comparable to sections like "Career" or "Personal Life," but no mention of what BNN is or how Chahal is affiliated with it appears in any part of his profile.

This is what a "narrative for hire" looks like, individuals or groups with the sole purpose of advancing their agenda by disrupting the flow of "information."

When Mr. Chahal contacted Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, the only thing he said was, "That's how the community works."

Mr. Chahal's charitable and professional contributions to Wikipedia, as well as many of his achievements and business history, are frequently deleted before adding other false narratives.

These organizations disseminate stories, trending topics, videos, and other content across multiple internet platforms in order to mislead people in a systematic way: Social Media, Wikipedia, and Google Search.

Once you can control the flow of information, you get to decide how the rest of the world sees that topic or subject.

It's probably happening to you

Another Twitter user, @NadineGNess's account was suspended last week due to a similar “mass-reported” attack. Botnets tricked the Twitter system into thinking she was referring to something else by using the words "stove" and "gas" to suspend her Twitter account.

@conspirator0 is able to remove accounts thanks to the use of a developer tool known as a "console."

And no one other than #TwitterSafety distributes these tools to third parties.

BNN contacted Twitter's Head of Safety Ella Irwin for comment on Twitter, consoles, @conspirator0, Yonder, wrongful suspensions, and connections with tools that have access to the private information of over 200 million users.

But as usual, we are yet to hear back.

In our ongoing #BNNFiles series, we will share any Twitter responses and further dissect the corruption of social media companies and the Third Party Actors behind them.

Our founder has always said, "Follow the Money."
