Revolutionizing User Experience: Windows 11 Major Update Unveiled

New Features and Improvements
Microsoft has started the rollout of a significant update for Windows 11, version 22H2. This update, although not the latest 23H2, introduces several vital new features and improvements. The update will appear to all users as a security update and should only take a few minutes to install.
Copilot: An AI Chatbot
The most significant change is the introduction of Copilot, an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot integrated directly into the operating system. Microsoft hopes that Copilot will assist users in accelerating tasks, reducing frictions, and saving time with personalized responses. It can summarize a webpage or draft a message. Additionally, it can control computer settings, such as activating Wi-Fi or changing to dark mode.
Enhanced Paint Application
The update also enhances the Paint application with AI features. It now includes automatic background removal and support for layers. Microsoft has also announced Paint Cocreator, a preview version for the Windows Insider program, which allows users to generate unique images by inputting text and selecting a style.
Clipchamp’s Auto Compose Feature
Clipchamp, the video editing software integrated into Windows 11, now includes the AI-based Auto Compose feature. By answering a few questions, the software can create your video, suggesting scenes, assemblies, and a narrative based on your data and creative assets.
Improved Screenshot Tool and Photos Application
Windows 11’s screenshot tool now includes text selection, similar to Google Lens. When capturing a screen image, text can be highlighted and selected for copying and pasting elsewhere. The Photos application has also been updated with improved search capabilities, especially for photos saved in OneDrive. A significant new feature is the ability to easily blur the background of images without affecting their resolution.
Windows Backup
Windows Backup, the data backup application for Windows, is finally available. It allows users to select backup options such as files, applications, settings, or identification information. Users can then restore the content of their old computer from the cloud and their Microsoft account when moving to a new machine. However, without a Microsoft 365 subscription, this backup is limited to 5GB.
New Accessibility Options
The update also introduces two new accessibility options for disabled users. Vocal command from startup allows users to configure their computer and navigate only with their voice. Voice command functionality has also been extended to more areas within Windows, including during login, making the system easier to use from startup. Microsoft will understand and correct speech errors to better interpret user commands, assisting those whose first language is not English.
