As per reports, Steven Allan punched Paul Mason three times in the mistaken belief that he had stolen a mobile phone belonging to his friend. Police suspect that a four-year-old girl died after being mauled by a dog in Milton Keynes, England. A woman who was killed by dogs in Surrey died from “multiple penetrating bites to neck”, the Surrey Coroner’s Court heard on Tuesday morning. Police charged nine men after a number of weapons including hatchets and machetes were recovered from vans in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. Officers were informed of suspicious transit vans on Saturday morning. One of the vans was stopped near Swanston Road North and the other on Antrim Road at about 10:50 GMT. The Welsh government announces an inquiry into the proposed closure of the 2 Sisters poultry factory. This comes after it revealed plans to shut its plant in Llangefni, putting 730 jobs at risk. According to the latest reports, police initiated an investigation after a series of shots were fired at a car in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The incident took place outside a house on Machon Bank in Nether Edge, in the south of the city, on Thursday night. Eight bullet holes were seen in the windscreen of a large black estate car. Police officers imposed a cordon which was guarded overnight. However, no one was injured and inquiries were ongoing. It is not known if the car was parked at the time the shooting took place.
