South Korea’s industry ministry said on Thursday that, it has agreed with ASM, a Dutch semiconductor equipment supplier to boost cooperation for its ASM would invest of US$100 million. ASM plans to build a production factory and research and development centre in South Korea. US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin stated Tuesday that the United States and South Korea will engage in discussion-based exercises, in order to address nuclear threats. Authorities said on Tuesday that nearly 500 flights to and from the South Korean tourist island of Jeju had been cancelled due to harsh winter weather, disrupting the final day of the Lunar New Year holiday for travellers.
