A "immediate meeting with the ACC chief and members," according to ANI, was requested by Sethi.

It should be noted that Shah already informed the media in October of last year that India will not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup and that the Asian competition would be moved to a neutral location.

In retaliation, Ramiz Raja, the former PCB chairman, had threatened that Pakistan would not go to India for the 50-over World Cup, which is slated to take place there in October-November of this year.

After the country experienced political unrest, Sri Lanka Cricket hosted the T20 Asia Cup 2022 in the UAE last year.
