In their debut game of the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup in South Africa, the Pakistan Under-19 Women’s Cricket Team defeated Rwanda by an eight-wicket lead.
Rwanda only scored 106 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs, with Pakistan’s Areesha Noor taking two wickets and Anosha Nasir, Syeda Aroob Shah, and Zaib-un-Nisa each taking one.
Pakistan’s Zaib-un-Nisa showed great presence of mind as she dismissed Shakila Niyumuhoza at the non-striker’s end.
In response, Pakistan’s Eyman Fatima played a match-winning knock of 65 runs to guide Pakistan to a comfortable win.
