Zimbabwe has named a strong team for the upcoming ODI series against the Netherlands, which starts on March 21. The squad includes some of Zimbabwe’s best players, including Blessing Muzarabani, Sikandar Raza, and Ryan Burl.
Three players, Sean Williams, Tendai Chatara, and Blessing Muzarabani, are currently recovering from injuries. Williams had a finger fracture in January, Chatara hurt a thigh muscle the same month, and Muzarabani has been out since late November due to a quadriceps injury that flared up during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
Even though neither team has a chance to qualify directly for the ICC Men‘s Cricket World Cup 2023, the series could provide valuable practice for the upcoming 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualification.
The Zimbabwe squad for the ODI series includes Craig Ervine (c), Gary Ballance, Ryan Burl, Tendai Chatara, Bradley Evans, Innocent Kaia, Clive Madande, Wesley Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Brandon Mavuta, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Sikandar Raza, and Sean Williams.
