In the first run, the team performed remarkably and clocked a time of 39.0979, which helped them secure the fifth position ahead of Cambodia. However, despite the team's improved timing of 30.3267, they failed to maintain their position as Cambodia achieved a better timing, pushing the Brunei team down the ranks. The top-ranking nations in the event were Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Laos.

The athletes' participation in the Southeast Asian Games highlights Brunei's efforts to develop and encourage sports among its citizens. The event provides a platform for athletes to showcase their skills, gain experience, and promote national pride. The achievement of the Brunei team in securing the sixth rank in the men's team relay is commendable and demonstrates the country's potential in obstacle race events.

The obstacle race event is a test of strength, endurance, and agility and requires athletes to navigate through a challenging course comprising various obstacles. The competition demands a high level of fitness, determination, and resilience from the participants. The Brunei athletes' participation and achievement in the event are a source of inspiration for aspiring athletes in the country, and the government should continue to provide support and resources for the development of sports in the nation.
