Zambia’s UPND party refutes president’s impeachment

The United Party for National Development – UPND Lusaka Province Youth Chairperson, Anderson Banda, has labeled opposition political parties demanding President Hakainde Hichilema’s impeachment as “bitter.”

Mr. Banda lamented that the current crop of Patriotic Front – PF opposition members could not provide meaningful checks and balances.

Patriotic Front, Economic Front, National Democratic Congress, and Citizens First are drafting an impeachment resolution against President Hakainde Hichilema.

However, Chief Government Spokesperson Chushi Kasanda dared the opposition to carry out their plans, stating they would be wasting their time.

President of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Saboi Imboela has urged the international community and the general public to pay attention to the alleged violation of human rights in the country.
