Xiaomi Breaks New Ground: Introducing the IP68-Certified Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus

Latest Addition to Mid-Range Smartphones
Xiaomi, a leading name in the world of technology, is all set to unveil its newest marvel, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. This mid-range smartphone is expected to come packed with advanced technology and innovative features, promising a high-quality user experience. One of the key highlights of this new gadget is its IP68 certification, indicating its resistance to both dust and water.
Understanding the IP68 Certification
The IP68 certification signifies that the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus can withstand being submerged in fresh water at a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. However, it is crucial for users to note that the warranty does not cover water damage. Hence, it is advised to exercise caution while using the device near water. The ambiguity remains whether this certification would be extended to other phones in the series or exclusively maintained for the top-tier “Pro Plus” model. However, speculations suggest that this feature may be unique to the Pro Plus model. The smartphone will also support a “Rain Water Touch” feature, facilitating its use in rainy conditions.

The Redmi Note 13 series, which is slated for release in China on September 21, 2023, guarantees power-packed performance. The Pro Plus model is expected to be powered by the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, while the Pro variant will house the Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor. Additionally, the Pro Plus model boasts a curved OLED display and a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor for the main camera. The smartphone is also expected to make its way to markets outside of China.
