Residents in DR Congo are gearing up for the Pope Francis visit that is expected to happen at the end of this month.
In the capital city Kinshasa, residents have flocked to different market stalls in the country to buy memorabilia painted with the images of Pope Francis.
One of the women Berthe Baleweya who spoke to AFP said Pope Francis visit into the country is a blessing.
Pope Francis will be visiting the country and is expected to celebrate an open-air mass in Ndolo Airport in Kinshasa where approximately one million faithfuls will gather.
Majority of the over 90 million people in the DR Congo profess the Catholic faith. Despite being rich in minerals, the region is impoverished.
