Turkish Foreign Minister Makes Historic Visit to Egypt to Reestablish Ties

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu’s arrival in Cairo marks the first visit by a Turkish official to Egypt in over a decade. Cavusoglu was invited by his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, to engage in joint talks between the two countries.

The visit is seen as a significant step towards restoring normal relations between Turkey and Egypt and fostering an in-depth dialogue on various aspects of bilateral relations.

The Turkish Foreign Minister’s itinerary includes a bilateral meeting with Shoukry at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tahrir Palace, followed by extensive discussions with the delegations of both countries, culminating in a joint press conference.
