The exchange of goods between Bangladesh and India through the Hili land port in Dinajpur has been halted since the morning of January 26th, on the occasion of India’s 74th Republic Day.
The Hili Customs C&F Agents Association President, Abdur Rahman Liton, stated that trade activities will remain closed for Friday as well due to the weekly holiday. He also added that all activities of the land port will resume on January 28th, Saturday.
However, the movement of travellers through the land port will continue as usual, as per the in-charge of Hili Immigration check post, MD Badiuzzaman.
