Colombian President Gustavo Petro arrived in Mexico to meet with President López Obrador.

The President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, arrived in Mexico on Thursday night, November 24. He arrived at Felipe Ángeles International Airport, where he was received by Maximiliano Reyes Zúñiga, undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Colombian president will meet with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador at the National Palace for a working breakfast. At the same place, he will meet with Claudia Sheinbaum, head of the government of Mexico City.

After his meetings with his counterpart and with the local president, Petro will be decorated as a distinguished guest of Mexico City and will sign the book of prominent visitors who have visited the National Palace.

During his visit to Mexico, he will also meet with the Colombian Consulate and a group of Colombian residents. One of the topics to be discussed will be the discrimination complaints made by Colombian nationals.
