The Minister of Defense, Jorge Taiana, headed the presentation of two Sea King helicopters of the Argentine Navy

The Minister of Defense, Jorge Taiana, led the presentation of two Sea King helicopters of the Argentine Navy, which were acquired with contributions from the National Defense Fund.

Minister Taiana affirmed this Thursday in Bahía Blanca that Argentina “is on the way to recovering its military capabilities and armed forces”.

“These are a modernized acquisition that puts us back in the front line of equipment and that we receive with great satisfaction,” said the minister in the framework of the ceremony that took place at the Comandante Espora naval air base.

During his speech, the national office said that “today is a day of celebration” because “we are formally incorporating these two Sea Kings”.

Taiana said that “Argentina effectively strengthens its Antarctic campaign, strengthens its look to the south and that is why we are also interested in the search and rescue tasks carried out by these Sea Kings”.
