Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister Jonas Survila recently held a high-level meeting with key experts from the United States, including Hadson Institute Senior Fellow Marshall Billingslea, Keystone Defence Initiative Director Rebeccah Heinrichs, and Chainalysi Strategic Applications Director Brian Capra.
The primary focus of the discussions revolved around enhancing regional security and exploring avenues for greater bilateral military cooperation between Lithuania and the United States.
In light of Russia's ongoing conflict with Ukraine, the meeting also addressed the implementation of sanctions and their effectiveness in deterring aggression.
Representatives from both countries shared their perspectives on the current geopolitical landscape, while acknowledging the importance of strengthening the defense and deterrence systems within the Baltic States, particularly in Lithuania.
As reported by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the participants engaged in a productive dialogue aimed at consolidating mutual understanding and cooperation in the face of regional security challenges.
