Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon says independence quest ‘not over yet’

WATCH: #BNNUK Reports. Nicola Sturgeon @NicolaSturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, tells a crowd of independence supporters in Edinburgh that the fight for independence from the United Kingdom is not over.

She said, “Not Westminster or otherwise, will ever silence the voice of the Scottish people.” This comes after a landmark ruling of @UKSupremeCourt which stated that the Scottish Parliament cannot unilaterally legislate for a referendum on Scottish independence without approval from the British parliament.

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeo @NicolaSturgeon, announced earlier this year that she planned to hold an advisory independence referendum on October 19, 2023, but that it had to be lawful and internationally recognized.
